Baseball Divisions

 

Division Age Experience Hitting Catching Throwing Fielding
Tee Ball 4-6 have never played before or played one season of t-ball and not ready to move up



Coach Pitch 5-6
have played at least one season of t-ball and ready to hit off coach pitch can hit the ball occasionally from the coach can catch with some success learning to throw the ball learning the fundamentals of fielding
Minor C
5-8
have played at least one season of coach pitch and can consistently hit the ball of coach hitting the ball most times with my seven pitches can catch 70% of the time throw the ball from second base to first base fielding a ground ball on a regular basis
Minor B 6-9 have played at least one season of Minor C, can consistently hit off coaches and ready to hit off kids hit the ball every time within 7 pitches and ready to hit off of kid pitching can catch 90% of the time can throw the ball from shortstop to first base can field a ground ball moving side to side
Minor A 8-11 have played at least one season of Minor B and can consistently hit kid pitching hit regularly off of kid pitching can catch the ball almost 100% of the time can throw the ball from third base to first base can field any hit
Majors 10-12 have played at least one season of Minor A and can consistently hit off kid pitching and can field most ground balls and fly balls can consistently hit better pitching in Minor A
can throw the ball into the infield from the outfield or from 1B to anywhere in the infield can field ground balls and fly balls
Intermediate 12-13 have played at least one season of majors. can make the longer throw across the infield on the 50/70 field



Juniors 13-14 ready to move up to full size 60-90 field





 

Softball Divisions

 

Division Age Experience Hitting Catching Throwing Fielding
Tee Ball 4-6 have never played before or played 1 season of tee ball and is not ready to move up to Minor B. Please register for Tee Ball, may be moved to Minor C softball. players hit a ball off of a batting tee


Minor C 5-8
entry level softball division. a combination of coach pitch and hitting off of a batting tee combination of coach pitch and hitting off a batting tee Introduction to catching a ball Introduction to throwing the ball from second base to first base Introduction to fielding a ground ball
Minor B
6-9
have played at least 1 season of Minor C, can hit off coach pitch and are ready to start hitting off player pitch (this Division is a mix of player pitch and coach pitch). can hit off coach pitch and are ready to start hitting off player pitch Beginner level. Focus on proper catching mechanics. Introduction to catching a pop fly. can throw the ball to first base can field a ground ball moving side to side
Minor A 8-11 have played at least 1 season of Minor B and can consistently hit off player pitch. More focus on base running and situational awareness. hits regularly off of player pitch Intermediate level. Can consistently catch a thrown ball. Improved ability to catch a pop fly. can throw the ball from third base to first base consistently fields ground balls
Majors 10-12 have played at least 1 season of Minor A. can consistently hit off player pitch and field most ground balls and fly balls can consistently hit better pitching in Minor A Advanced level. Ability to catch all ground balls and pop flies. can throw the ball into the infield from the outfield or from first base to anywhere in the infield can field ground balls and fly balls
Juniors 13-14 automatic based on age
